From FoxCarolina:
New Belgium Brewery has secured a site at the Enka Center off Highway 19/23, which is about eight miles from the brewery.
The distribution center will create about 30 jobs of the 140 total expected and hiring will begin in 2015.
At full build out, the distribution center operations will support about 30 of the total 140 expected jobs. Hiring will begin by early 2015.
"New Belgium beer will be brewed in Asheville and distributed up and down the East Coast from our distribution center in Buncombe County," said Jay Richardson, general manager of New Belgium's Asheville operations, in a media release. "We're proud to bring these jobs to Western North Carolina and our beer to the East Coast."
The 100,000-square-foot facility will be built at the same time as the brewery and liquid center on Craven Street in west Asheville, and is slated for occupancy by fall 2015. There will also be space for a future expansion.
