Stone Reveals New “Spice Oddity” Details

image
I brought you the original peek at this beer coming from Stone a week or so age…and now we get all the details for Stone Spice Oddity.  As I mentioned before, this beer starts it’s life as Stone Vertical Epic Series 12.12.12 that is then aged in red wine barrels for 12-months with Native Brettanomyces yeast.  The barrels are Sonoma County Pinot Noir barrels using French & American oak.  The resulting beer will come in at 11.3% ABV and 57 IBU.  This beer was bottled in Nov so I suspect we’ll see it before the end of the year.  Keep in mind that Stone also aged some additional Vertical Epic 12.12.12 in white wine barrels, so stay tuned for more.
