Rock Art - Bourbon Barrel Aged Vermonster Coming 11/20

From Rock Art:

Many love our Vermonster barley wine style ale at 10% abv and 100 ibu's so we decided to try this great beer in the Makers Mark bourbon barrels for fun!

The beer is classics on it's own, but with the barrel flavors they take on, some oak vanilla notes, sherry, Bourbon, charred barrel flavors, they really have multiple levels of flavor complexity that beer connoisseur will enjoy!  The 22 oz bottles are available at the brewery for $10 each.

Next in the series (soon) will be a Russian Imperial Stout and then a Scottish Ale.  All aging in Makers Mark bourbon barrels.

Mountain Holidays in Vermont

creamy bock lager This

beer has become a traditional offering at our Thanksgiving and Christmas table.  It has a nice malt balance that seems to pair well with all our favorite holiday foods.  As a special treat bring this bottle to your next gathering with a wedge of Inspiration cheese from our local Mount Mansfield Creamery.  The two are perfect together!

The Farmhouse Tap & Grill

Collaboration!

Take a rye whiskey barrel from the Smugglers Notch Distillery and fill it with Vermonster (see the barrel on the top shelf?) and let it age for 8 months.  The result is delicious!  Join Matt, I and the Rock Art team tomorrow night at The Farmhouse in Burlington for the tapping debut of this great beer and a couple other great collaboration brews we have done, as well as Smugglers Notch cocktails!

The Farmhouse is taking the entire barrel (minus a 5 gallon log I am keeping at the brewery to tap for tastings at some point). So ...this is the only place you will be able to enjoy a pint of this limited beer.
