Today, Silver City Brewery is proud to introduce Saint Florian India Pale Ale in 12oz bottle 6-packs. Saint Florian IPA was originally released in March of 2012 in 22oz bottles and on draft. Saint Florian IPA joins Silver City Brewery Ridgetop Red Ale, Washington’s Gold Medal Red Ale, in their 12oz bottle 6-packs packages.

Saint Florian, the patron saint of firefighters, the namesake of Silver City’s northwest IPA was designed to raise money for Washington State Council of Fire Fighters Benevolent Funds. Part of the proceeds from each bottle and keg of Saint Florian IPA sold goes directly to the Benevolent Fund where the beer is purchased in the region. Silver City Brewery co-owner Scott Houmes said, “We are very proud to grow our long-standing relationship with Fire Fighters and the Benevolent Association. Saint Florian IPA 6-pack will enable us to extend that relationship even further, to other areas around the Puget Sound & Western Washington.” Scott added “Offering first our Ridgetop Red Ale and now our Saint Florian IPA will enable more Western Washington craft beer fans to enjoy our beers with the convenience and high quality that a 12oz bottle 6-pack offers.”

Silver City Brewery has helped raise money for the Professional Fire Fighters of Kitsap County Benevolent fund every year since 2001 through their annual Oktoberfest Celebration. In that time, the Oktoberfest event has helped raise over $50,000 for the Professional Firefighters of Kitsap County Benevolent Fund.

Saint Florian IPA & Ridgetop Red 6-packs will be available immediately in Kitsap, Clallam, Mason, Jefferson, Pierce, & Thurston counties, wherever great local craft beer is sold. King, Snohomish, Skagit, Whatcom, San Juan, & Island Counties will follow in January 2014, rounding out Silver City’s entire Western Washington distribution footprint. Of this Kurt Larson, Silver City Brewery Director of Sales & Marketing said “Our focus is always to provide the freshest highest quality beer as close to home as possible, so a slow, methodical growth plan as far as how we expand our distribution area is keeping with that very goal in mind.” Kurt added “We always say our favorite beers, especially IPA’s, are best from the closest brewery to where ever you are.”
