From Fordham & Dominion Brewing:
Dover, DE – Fordham & Dominion Brewing will be holding their first ever Cheesetoberfest at the brewery on October 5, 2013 from 2 to 5pm.
Cheestoberfest is an all-out, no holds barred, grilled cheese competition, being held at Fordham & Dominion Brewing, that features 20 Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, and Pennsylvania restaurants, including: 33 West, Restaurant 55, McGlynn’s, Cowboy Up, Ulysses, Delaware Distilling Company, Pickled Pig Pub, Frankfurt Bakery, Fromage Chesese Boutique, Rams Head Shore House and more. Additionally, any attendee who thinks they make the best sandwich ever is invited to enter the competition as an Amateur Grilled Cheeseologsist.
In keeping with the overall general cheesiness of the event, the Philadelphia German Brass Band will provide the entertainment and John Holl will be signing copies of his newly released American Craft Beer Cookbook. Brewery staff and volunteers will be pouring Dominion’s award-winning Octoberfest and Oak Barrel Stout, along with Fordham Spiced Harvest Ale, Rams Head IPA, Copperhead Ale, and Helles Lager.
Seating is limited to 400 and the $30 admission to the event includes three 15oz beers, grilled cheese sandwiches, and a commemorative stein. Tickets can be purchased at the brewery or online at cheesetoberfest.com.
Jim Lutz, President and CEO of Fordham & Dominion, said, “Cheesetoberfest was born from two things: our passion for beer and our love of grilled cheese sandwiches. We cannot wait to share these two things, and some good old fashioned oompah music, with everyone who joins us on October 5th.”
