The Fat Cat Beer Company, makers of “sessionable,” handcrafted beer in cans,
announced its contribution to the legacy of India Pale Ales with the launch of its
Confession™ IPA.
San Diego, California September 6,
2013/mbb/
“Confession™ IPA is brewed using American IPA brewing
practices. We feature a combination of hops that
give the beer a distinctive but not overpowering hop
character. The beer is dry hopped during aging with
Cascade hops, providing a citrus presence and earthy
aroma. When combined with its malt blend, the hop
character is balanced by a slight sweetness with full
body flavor in the mouth, said Ray Klimovitz, The Fat
Cat Beer Company’s brew master. “The beer features
remarkable clarity, a refreshing taste and an exceptionally
smooth finish.”
Confession™ IPA contains 6.0 percent ABV and uses a
combination of 2 Row Base Malt, Caramel Malt and Carapils
Malt in addition to Cascade, Centennial and Columbus
hops.
“We have an outstanding line up of sessionable craft beers
and we are overwhelmed by the thousands of beer
drinkers who have commented on how much they enjoy
drinking our beers but we are always asked if we have
an IPA. Well, now we do! We are extremely proud of
what Ray has accomplished with our Confession™
IPA,” said Bruce Taub, President of The Fat Cat Beer Company.
“We have captured the best of what the IPA style
of beer offers to the discriminating craft beer drinker
while adhering to our core value to offer full-flavored
, sessionable craft beer to our customers. And the
16 oz can package is our best yet. Be sure to check
out the food pairings we added at the bottom of the can.
”
In addition to Confession™ IPA, The Fat Cat Beer Company
offers four other distinctly different, session craft
beers in a can, including its Fat Cat™ Lager,
Sultans of Wheat™, Shawshank’s Injunction™ Pale Ale and
Beale St™ Brown Ale.

The Fat Cat Beer Company, makers of “sessionable,”
handcrafted beer in cans, announced it received its California
distributor and importer’s license and has started
selling its products throughout the state.
After achieving significant traction in Florida, Georgia and
Virginia, the San Diego-based company that brews its
beers in Wisconsin now brings their beer to its own backyard
.
“We work closely with our distributors in our core business
markets and really provide most of the brand building
infrastructure. After speaking with some CA distributors
, we believed our brands, at least at this juncture
, would be best served by our own people.
Given that we are a San Diego-based business, this decision
will enable us to proactively impact how we grow.
It will also allow us to determine how we forget he
relationships with our growing list of customers,"
said Bruce Taub, President of The Fat Cat Beer Company.
“We have a dedicated team of account managers
who are extremely customer service oriented.
They are placing our beers in some of the most
popular places in San Diego with more than 80
accounts opened in less than 60 days. Be on the lookout
for the Fat Cat beer truck around town!”
