Representatives of Raleigh area restaurants and beer shops were on hand on July 29th to help Big Boss Brewing create and brew the Raleigh Beer Week Beer.
The beer is called “Mon Cheri,” a Belgian pale infused with cherries and aged in a brandy barrel provided by Carolina Distillery of Lenoir. The beer is intended to be a tribute to the cherry infused distilled beverages that were popular when the city of Raleigh was founded.
Staffers from The Busy Bee Café, Tasty Beverage Company, Bottle Revolution, Brew Masters Bar & Grille, Tyler’s Tap Room, Capital Club 16 and The Flying Saucer were on hand to mill in grain, add hop additions and assist Big Boss brewers to create the commemorative beer.
The beer will be tapped at all participating Raleigh Beer Week locations for a beer week toast on Sunday, August 25th.
