PA State Senator McIlhinney Took $43,000 From Liquor Privatization Foes in April

Pennsylvania state Senator Chuck McIhinney received at least $43,000 from opponents of the privatization of the state’s monopoly on alcoholic beverages in April, then drafted a bill to address their concerns.

That was the same month McIlhinney’s Senate Law and Justice Committee received a House bill (HB 790) that had passed that chamber by a vote of 105-90 and encompassed most of Republican Gov. Tom Corbett’s plan for the divestiture of the state’s liquor business.
