June 20, 2013/mbb/ – CLEVELAND, OHIO – Great Lakes Brewing Company (GLBC) is pleased to announce that it is ranked 24th amongst Midsize companies in Northeast Ohio on The Plain Dealer’s Top Workplaces list, based on feedback from an employee survey administered by The Plain Dealer. According to The Plain Dealer, a Midsize company is comprised of 150-499 local employees.

This marks GLBC’s second appearance on the Top Workplaces list. In 2012 GLBC debuted at 28.

Creating a positive, healthy, and productive work environment is part of Great Lakes Brewing Company’s “Triple Bottom Line” philosophy, which promotes social, environmental, and fiscal sustainability. The social bottom line in this equation begins with GLBC’s employees, who receive a competitive compensation and benefits package.

“We are honored to receive the Top Workplace recognition for a second year in a row. We attribute a large part of this recognition to the strategic goal initiatives we’ve accomplished, specifically those associated with our “Best Workplace” teams such as the Engaged Fun Culture, Wellness, and Employee Recognition teams,” says Human Resources Manager Michelle Belviso.

GLBC stands out as a dynamic organization experiencing rapid growth. The company continues to expand and create new positions, in addition to offering internal promotions within the Brewery, offices, and Brewpub.
