From Appalachian Brewing Co:

Auchenbach Keller Pils
(June Specialty)

Mugger ONLY Preview Dates: June 3rd – 6th
Release Date: June 7th

OG 13.8 | ABV 6.2 | IBUs 32

This unfiltered German lager is a revival of a classic brewing tradition. Brewed with three different Munich malts, this beer is complex with a balanced and smooth mouth feel. We fortify this malt profile with copious amounts of Czech Saaz hops. Each pint takes you back in time to a place where you could visit the Keller and drink fresh beer directly from the lagering tanks. Ein Prosit!

The Auchenbach Printing Company first used our Harrisburg building to house their massive printing presses.  This beer salutes the strength of our building and the strength of the horses that transported the large lagering casks to the famous mountaintop storage “kellers” in Germany!

Hinterland Hefe Weizen

Hinterland Hefe Weizen
(July Specialty)

Mugger ONLY Preview Dates: July 1 – 4
Release Date: July 5

OG 13.2 | ABV 5.3 | IBUs 19

Hinterland Hefe Weizen is a light-bodied wheat ale, using special yeast (called “hefe”) to produce clove and banana flavors during fermentation. This unfiltered beer has an incredibly spicy and fruity complexity. Is it any wonder that 28 percent of all beer consumed in Germany is Weizen-style beer?

Our Brewmaster has earned many medals at the Great American Beer Festival for this beer style. He follows a difficult, four-step infusion mash schedule to achieve the complexity of this traditional German-style beer.
