From Captain Lawrence:
This is now the fourth batch of Scott Vaccaro's American Sour Ale known as
'Rosso e Marrone'. A beer that sat quietly, aging in our barrel room for over a year before we decided it was time - time to blend in some beautiful ripe red grapes. A mix of brown ale, red grapes, Brettanomyses, freshly emptied wine barrels and time.
This beer is infinitely complex and a challenge to the perception of what beer can be. This beer is re-fermented in the bottle and will age for years to come.
Only 250 cases were produced of this 2009 Gold Medal winner for 'American-Style Sour Ale' at the Great American Beer Festival.
Come down to the tasting room this Wednesday April 3rd at 4pm to get a hold of what will no doubt be another winner in the eyes of all craft beer drinkers.
The tasting room will be open from 4pm-8pm starting Wednesday April 3rd where this great beer will be available for sale. $15/bottle (12.7oz) 6 Bottle Max.
