From Baxter Brewing:
On April 15, 2013, three 240-bbl fermenting tanks were installed at Baxter Brewing Company in Lewiston, Maine. This is a timelapse video of the installation.
After a couple back and forths thanks to scheduling and Mother Nature, we were finally able to install the first three of six 240-barrel fermenting tanks as part of our capacity expansion. On Monday, April 15, huge cranes from Cote Crane in Auburn swung the 25+ foot tall tanks into place on the new bunker just outside the brewery, welding them into place. It's exciting to see such a huge representation of the progress that Baxter Brewing is making in only our third year!
And as a result, you're going to start seeing more Baxter beer on your local shelves & draft towers. The expansion is happening just in time to help get Summer Swelter into your hands for the warm weather. Summer Swelter-formerly Celsius-is a refreshing blend of citrus flavors, built up by unique ingredients like lemon and lime peel, lemongrass, and Kaffir lime leaves, resting on a fluffy wheat base and crisp, citrusy hops. Don't let the new name fool you...this is the same beer you fell in love with last summer!
