Abita Lemon Wheat Seasonal Coming In April

Abita is proud to introduce Lemon Wheat as their new summertime seasonal brew. Lemon Wheat is a crisp, refreshing beer made with real lemon peel for a fresh citrus taste and aroma.

“Abita Lemon Wheat is a cool citrus brew created to beat the summer heat,” said David Blossman, President of the Abita Brewing Company. “Lemon Wheat is so refreshing because it’s brewed with lemon peel for a fresh citrus taste and aroma. It’s an unfiltered brew with a hazy golden color and is made with lager and wheat malts, Centennial hops and Biere de Garde yeast.”

“We think our customers who love Abita Strawberry Harvest Lager are really going to enjoy discovering the summery citrus flavor of our new Lemon Wheat,” said Blossman. “They’re both very sessionable brews that are great choices to balance the heat in any meal, like a spicy crawfish boil, or to cool off as the weather heats up.”

Abita Strawberry Harvest Lager and Lemon Wheat will be on the shelves together in some markets during late spring.

Abita Seasonal brews are available for a limited time and are brewed in limited quantities. Each brew is custom created to match the time of year when they are enjoyed. Lemon Wheat joins the Abita Seasonal lineup in early April.

Abita Lemon Wheat has an ABV of 4.4%, IBU of 18 and the color is 7 or deep golden.
