Smuttynose - Noonan Black IPA

While it may not be obvious by looking at the label, this is a Smuttynose 12oz bottle called Noonan Black IPA.  This beer is was originally Smuttynose Short Batch # 12, originally brewed in 2011 and it is named in honor of Greg Noonan.  Greg is credited as brewing the very first Black IPA on Dec 4th 1994 at the Vermont Pub & Brewery, well before the west coast CDA’s came into being.  Greg tragically passed away in 2009 as a result of lung cancer.  Stay tuned for release details on Noonan Black IPA.
