White Birch Brewing is bringing us another new Apprentice Series beer today as they gain approval for their Tres pa’ Cuatro Belgian Style Tripel. This beer is the creation of apprentice Victor Arocho and it is a Belgian Tripel that uses Barley, wheat, oats and rye in the malt so it should be interesting. This limited run beer will be packaged in 22oz bottles and come in at 9.5% ABV.
Some other updates from White Birch:
Introducing:
Ol' Cattywhompus
Ol' Cattywhompus? It is what it do. We've reinvented our English Style Barleywine into an ale brewed with malts from Thomas Fawcett & Sons and earthy British hops making for a hearty and elegant ale. What is a Barleywine you may be asking yourself? It's a style of ale originally brewed in England in the 1800's. Being higher in alcohol content then most ale at the time, it was thought of as an ale brewed to wine strength.
Welcome back Tavern Ale and Indulgence Ale
It's winter in the beer calendar which means the return of our dark beers! Tavern Ale is our award winning smoked imperial brown ale which was recognized by Draft Magazine as one of the Top 25 Beers of the Year. Check out the new label, it says so on it!This weekend at the brewery we are also releasing our Belgian style stout we call Indulgence Ale. It's pitch black and features sweet chocolate aromas with dark chocolate and coffee notes in the finish. This year's batch also has a new label, was finished in capped 750 ml bottles and is limited to only 720 bottles. It available at the brewery and a few cases are making their way to better beer stores in NH, ME, VT and MA.
