We brought you the original story and the official press release for the Brewery Ommegang HBO Game of Thrones Series Iron Throne Blonde Ale and now today we have the official label approval.  Iron Throne will be packaged in cork and caged 750ml bottles and come in at 6.5% ABV.  Iron Throne is a Blonde Ale that uses noble hops for a touch of fruity spiciness with a malty backbone.  The label also lists this beer as an Official HBO licensed product and for those asking the QR code takes you to this page with the following text:

Brewery Ommegang and HBO are partnering on a series of beers in support of the critically-acclaimed drama Game of Thrones. Launching in tandem with the season three debut, Iron Throne Blonde Ale is the inaugural beer in the series. The result of a creative collaboration between Brewmaster Phil Leinhart & HBO, the new Iron Throne Blonde Ale will launch nationwide timed to the show’s third season debut this spring on March 31.

The collaboration between Ommegang & HBO is focused on developing unique beers that directly tie into themes, characters and nuances of the medieval-like fantasy realm of Westeros and the surrounding kingdoms, where the competition to sit on the Iron Throne is fierce and deadly.

Iron Throne Blonde Ale will be nationally available on draft and in 750ml bottles, for the suggested retail price of $8.50 per bottle, beginning in mid- to late March.
