Weyerbacher Brewer’s Select “X-Ray” Robust Porter Coming 10/19

We brought you the first peek at the new label for Weyerbacher Brewer’s Select X-Ray Robust Porter (yes this is the first to carry the new logo)….now today comes word from Weyerbacher on the upcoming release (10/19)---ONLY 60-cases so DO NOT delay!   This from Bill @ Weyerbacher:

X-Ray is the twenty-fourth installment in Weyerbacher’s Brewers’ Select Series and the FIRST to wear the new logo. Yes, that blob on all our other Brewers’Select labels was supposed to give you the impression of a wax seal. I suspect that this one leaves less to the imagination!

X-Ray is a “Robust Porter” weighing-in at 6.7% ABV. Chocolate and coffee notes run through this aggressively-bittered, pitch black robust porter. X-RAY is kettle-hopped with Fuggles and EK Goldings and dry hopped with more EK Goldings giving it an earthy and fruity English character to go with its American sensibilities.

As with all of our Brewers’ Select beers, X-Ray is a one-batch limited production and will not make an encore! Be sure to grab it when you see it on draft in fine bars and restaurants throughout our distribution area. X-Ray will be available in 12oz bottles exclusively in our Visitors Center starting Friday, 10/19.

I see by the label that it is hand crafted-- excellent news. However, I am a tad concerned about the "aggressively bittered" as I do not look for lots of hops in my porter-- there are enough modern styles that have them. Will give it a try anyway at least until the Lion gets it together to release a porter.
