Details from the WallStJournal:
The beers come in four flavor variants infused with Indian spices and are named “Citrusy Coriander,” “Citrusy Cardamom,” “Spicy Fennel” and “Fiery Cinnamon.”
On a taste test, the beers are light on the palate, not too hoppy and offer a clear and distinct kick of the hero spice in each brew.
Initially being offered in Pune, Mumbai, Delhi, Gurgaon, Chandigarh, Kolkata and Bangalore, SAB Miller hopes the moniker of the beer will resonate with proud Indians across the nation.
When it was first launched in 2008, Indus Pride hoped to be a contender for some of Kingfisher’s market share in the 5% alcohol strength beer segment. But it was phased out after beer drinkers didn’t take to the brew. SAB Miller has now given Indus Pride a new avatar and is hoping it will become the top choice for a premium segment of drinkers.
