Thanks to WeyerbacherNat for the photo showing Weyerbacher’s new Last Chance IPA cases…about to hit the shelves. This is the replacement brew for Hops Infusion and the original label release is here. Details from Bill Bragg:
As it boldly states on the case and on the 6 pack carriers, “Weyerbacher Brewing Company donates a portion of the proceeds from the sale of every drop of Last Chance IPA to small, local animal rescue organizations. These shelters provide dogs, cats and other pets their last chance to find a new home. Have a glass, make a difference!” We’ll update the Last Chance IPA beer description each month listing the amount we donated (which is directly tied to wholesale and Visitors Center retail sales) and some brief information on the organization who received the donation.
For our first donation, brewery owner Daniel Weirback chose The Center for Animal Health & Welfare in Easton, Pa. Office Manager and Visitors Center Manager Bill Bragg delivered the check for $1,224.50 this past week. Bill and his wife, a local Veterinarian, own “Verbal”, a cat who was adopted by Bill from The Center in June of 2005. The couple is making arrangements to volunteer at The Center this summer.
The Center celebrates its 100th anniversary this year. Open 7 days a week, this awesome bricks & mortar facility is private organization dedicated to providing a safe and health environment for abandoned, lost, neglected and unwanted animals. Located at 1165 Island Park Road, Easton, Pa, The Center is always in need of volunteers, gently used blankets and/or sheets, pet food, laundry detergent and of course monetary donations. Why not see if you can help in some way, too? Visit their website to learn more about The Center.
