MILWAUKEE (June 21, 2012) – Lakefront Brewery, Inc. announced it was awarded seven medals at the Los Angeles International Commercial Beer Competition. Brewery President Russ Klisch was especially proud of the Wisconsinite, launched just over a month ago, it already garnered the Gold medal and took first place out of all indigenous beers submitted worldwide. “We are delighted by the results which reflect the consistent hard work our brew crew has put into making our quality beers,” Klisch stated, “I'm also exceptionally excited that the Wisconsinite won a Gold Medal; it shows the combination of our brewers' talents, along with locally grown ingredients—including a yeast strain indigenous to Wisconsin—makes for a winning formula.”

The Los Angeles International Commercial Beer Competition is produced in association with the upcoming L.A. County Fair, and featured beers from around the country competing for medals in 84 categories. It is registered with the Beer Judge Certification Program (BJCP) and the Brewers Association.
