Susquehanna Brewing Co – Your First Peek Inside

image
I was lucky enough to attend the Master Brewers Association of the Americas Philly-Region meeting last night at the new Susquehanna Brewing Co….and with the new SBC beer hitting the streets on Monday (5/21), I thought you’d want a peek inside.  Above is the 50bbl Braukon System…and below in order…more Stainless Braukon beauty, Mission control for the Braukon brewhouse (I love how it has keys to prevent someone from breaking in and brewing a beer), a peek inside the Lauter-tun, the heart of the Pursuit Dynamics(PDX) steam system,  a look at the entire Braukon brewhouse, the Endosperm Milling (husks are separated during milling and added back later on some brews), the Stainless “HopJack”, a peek inside the HopJack, another view of the brewhouse, filtration, Guy demonstrates that there is room for two more rows of fermenters (currently 7-150bbl), lots of Muntons malt,  kegging, bottling, pasteurization, labeling, the upcoming labs, and just a few of the trucks you’ll be seeing Monday as they deliver SBC Goldencold Lager & 6th Generation Stock Ale throughout NEPA.  Thank you to Jaime Jurado and everyone at SBC and members of the MBAA for their hospitality and great beer conversation last night.
