Harpoon Opening 300-Seat Bavarian Beer Hall

Great news coming from Harpoon via the Boston Herald:

Boston will soon have its own Bavarian-style beer hall, right in the rapidly evolving Seaport District, at least if the gang from Harpoon Brewery has its way.

The 26-year-old brewery is hoping to start construction on a 300-seat beer hall on Northern Avenue next month and open it by the end of the year

.

“There are still a lot of things to fall in place with permits and pre-construction steps,” said spokesman Charlie Storey. “But that’s our hope.”

Expect long tables of strangers hoisting liters of lager together in the Oktoberfest style. “It will be a very communal, social type of experience,” Storey said.
