We’ve recently seen NJ homebrewers fighting for their rights, Massachusetts Farm Brewers, Mississippi raising their ABW, and quite a few other battles and victories in state legislatures.  Today we have two more….Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker is introducing a bill:

The bill now moves to Gov. Scott Walker's desk. It would allow home brewers to make and share beer or wine outside their home.

Current state law prohibits home brewers from transporting any beer  (more HERE)

and Georgia is increasing the amount of beer a brewpub can produce from 5,000 to 10,000:

On Wednesday, a Senate panel cleared House Bill 472, which would substantially increase the number of barrels brewpubs could produce and sell. Pending in the Senate is also a bill that would allow distilleries to conduct free promotional and educational liquor tastings to attract business.

The bill increases the number of barrels a brewpub could produce from 5,000 to 10,000 and increases from 500 to 5,000 the number they could sell to wholesale distributors.  (more HERE)

And finally a great Tax Foundation map from the tax foundation showing exactly what your state’s Excise Tax on beer sold off-premise is (more HERE)…Yes PA is among the LOWEST at .08 per gallon.
