I’m still collecting the details on this one, but one of my Philly pals is telling me that the owners of the Farmers Cabinet have purchased a property nearby their current location and they are converting it into a new beer bar to be named Boiler Maker AND it opens today 3/24 @ 3PM. The property used to be the Blue Bear Tavern and it’s on 11th St. I’m hearing it will have 2-floors, 40 tap handles and even some exclusive McKenzie’s Brewhouse dedicated handles. Based on a peek in the windows the theme seems to be very rustic & candle-lit like the Famer’s Cab but a little more Medieval….stay tuned for more details after some of my friends get a chance to visit again when its open.
