Here’s a peek at what a winning ticket looks like and the details of the Portsmouth Brewery Kate the Great ticket release courtesy of Portsmouth’s Facebook page. The ticket sales started 5PM Friday and ended 3PM Saturday. The brewery sold 15,000 tickets for $2 each BUT only 2000 of them are winners…with all of the money going to local non-profits. While there will be a 2nd chance drawing on non-winning tickets, not everyone was happy with the scratch-off ticket system and many complained not only that quantity restrictions were not enforced, but that many of the tickets were pre-scratched. Facebook & twitter were rife with people complaining that tickets had a small-pre-scratch allowing winning tickets to be identified before selling them. Use Alastair Hewitt posted the following evidence on Facebook show what he claimed were examples of the pre-scratched tickets with the caption “Classy one The Portsmouth Brewery - no luck with my pre-scratched Kate tickets”
And there were a lot more complaints on Portsmouth’s Facebook page….no response as of yet from the brewery.
