Boulevard Brewing / Deschutes –Smokestack Series Collaboration No 2 White IPA (Chainbreaker)

Back in Feb we brought you the Boulevard Brewing Co Smokestack Series Imperial Stout…so it’s exciting to bring you the Boulevard Brewing / Deschutes Brewery Smokestack Series Collaboration No 2,  This co-brewed White IPA seems to also be called Chainbreaker White IPA by Deschutes.  Collaboration No 2 will be bottled in 750ml packaging and come in at 7.4% ABV (see below why Chainbreaker White IPA is listed as 6.2% ABV). 

Bottle Text:  “Combining the refined body of a Belgian-style witbier with the refreshing bite of a hop-forward IPA, this ale puts a new spin on the idea of collaborative brewing.  Working with a single shared recipe, Boulevard and Deschutes have created two separate brews, more than 1,600 miles apart.  To the traditional witbier spices they added sage and lemongrass, giving the ales subtle herbal notes which perfectly complement the pungent hop aroma and full, fruity mouthfeel.  Hints of pepper linger in the dry, clean finish.”
