For everyone wondering what what Ithaca would do to celebrate their 13th anniversary, your answer came today. Here’s the first look at the Ithaca Beer Co Excelsior Series Thirteen Anniversary beer. Their Excelsior Series are all low-batch brews using unique ingredients and brewing techniques, and this one sounds interesting. Thirteen will be brewed with “raw & malted wheat, flaked oats and assertively hopped with Citra and Sorachi Ace and picked with an addition of orange and lemon peel then vigorously fermented with America Ale yeast.” Thirteen will be bottled in 750ml (35.4 oz) numbered bottles and I expect to see it in early 2011 if not earlier.

Interesting is a good way to describe it. I was at the release last night and I'm still trying to decide if I'd ever be able to drink a full 750 of this.
ReplyDeleteI know they've been teasing it for a while so I'll be curious to try it. I'm not sure I can drink a 750 of anything ;)
