It's still not terribly "official" yet, but word out of Weyerbacher is that their spring seasonal oak aged Quad beer Blasphemy will be ending production very soon. Sad to see it go, but I hope this perhaps will make way for some new interesting seasonals out of Weyerbacher. Apparently the Quad is minimally aged in the oak barrels anyway, so the differences are very subtle. I still have bottles of both in the basement so I'll toast a fond farewell for all of us.

Good riddance. Another in a long of medicore Weyerbacher products. Recently, every thing I have had from them tastes the same. Perhaps it is the yeast strains they ues.
ReplyDeleteI actually liked Blasphemy...although your thoughts are not uncommon. I'll be adding a post on Weyerbacher in the future about just this sort of thing.
