This weeks mybeerbuzz.com beer find of the week comes to us from Dugan's. Now I know many people love HopBack and many people have had Troegs HopBack Imperial Amber Ale in bottles....but ask yourself this... have you had it on draft? Dugan's just tap'd a sixtel of HopBack so do yourself a favor and stop down and try it. I'll conservatively say it's amazing on draft. I offer up this sixtel ring & cap (Thanks Charlie) as a temptation to stop in. Cheers!

Hopback has been one of my top beers for years and I've never had it on draft. I live in Allentown, but I do plan to make the ride up and try it sometime this coming week. Thanks Dugans!!!!!!

ReplyDeleteNo surprise here, since I had the HopBack last night with you, but I very much enjoyed it as well. Very well-balanced between the sweetness and darkness of the malts, along with firm, but not overpowering bitterness from the hops. Easily an excellent session beer (even at a 6% abv) as it's tasty enough to delight the tastebuds, but not overwhelmingly so as to draw attention to itself. Troegs bills this as their flagship beer, and I can taste why. Definitely one to try. I don't see this one lasting long at Dugan's.
