Lakewood Brewing Company “Gives Back” in support of Autism Awareness each Sunday in April

Dallas, TX: Lakewood Brewing Company promotes Brewing Good events eachSunday as a way to raise much needed dollars for local charities and non-profit organizations in support of the community and causes important to their customers.

The month of April being Autism Awareness Month, Brewing Good chose nonPareil Institute as the beneficiary organization, a group dedicated to improve the quality of life for those living with autism.  “nonPareil Crew and families are thrilled that Lakewood Brewing chose us to be the beneficiary of its Brewing Good program for April,” stated Dr. Daniel Faso, Director of Program Engagement at nonPareil.  “Supporting us not only with funding, but with sharing more about what nonPareil can do to help autistic adults is extremely helpful.”

“We believe in community, being good neighbors, and supporting those who support us,” stated Wim Bens, Founder & President of Lakewood Brewing Company. “It's why we brew philanthropic beers such as All Call benefiting our local fire and police families, it's why we open our doors to charitable organizations, and it's why we launched our own weekly charity events that we've deemed Brewing Good.”

$1 from every pint sold during Brewing Good Sundays will benefit a charitable organization, some national and some local, depending on the charity focus each month. The purpose for these events is not only to raise money for worthwhile causes, but to raise awareness and greater community support as well.

“At nonPareil, we train adults with autism to build digital technology for the marketplace through courses in design, digital art, 3D modeling, animation and coding,” said Dr. Faso. “We also help our students, called ‘Crew’ to develop invaluable life skills that not only complement their success within their individual technical skills training, but also improve overall sociability and adaptability with the larger community. In our unique marriage of technology and human services, we provide the time and space for our Crew to find their passion, grow their potential and discover their purpose.”
