SIOUX FALLS, S.D., Jan. 31, 2017 -Two years ago, Derek Fernholz and Blake Thompson started on a journey together to create a world-class brewing facility in their hometown of Sioux Falls, SD. On February 6, 2017, that journey will reach its second year creating beer and bringing people of the Midwest together.

Fernson has grown from a small production with two core beers to a line of over five beers in regular rotation with new features being released all the time. Their Lion's Paw Lager is in such high demand that they almost can't make it fast enough, which led them to add another 30% capacity to an already robust brewing facility.

Fernson has been featured in magazines, beer shows and was recently named the 2016 Sioux Falls Craft Beer Expo People's Choice Award winner! You won't want to miss the opportunity to come out to the brewery to try some of their award-winning beer.

The Second Anniversary Celebration is on Saturday, February 4, 2017 from 1:00-10:00 pm. Entry to the event is free and there will be new feature beers for attendees of the event only. We will discuss our barrel-aging program and give you a chance to purchase a commemorative glass to celebrate you and to thank you for helping bring us this far.

Fernson Brewing Company has been producing beers in Sioux Falls for two years, including Lion's Paw Lager, IPA, Farmhouse Ale, Porter, Berliner Weisse, Gallivant and numerous specialty releases. Fernson is currently distributed in four states: South Dakota, North Dakota, Minnesota, and Iowa.
