September 1, 2016 After five years, Arcadia Brewing Company is returning to Maryland! Expanding distribution and re-entry to the state is made possibly by additional capacity provided by the new brewery in Kalamazoo, MI as well as newly acquired 100 barrel fermentation tanks. English Inspired – American Brewed Arcadia Ales will be flowing into the state starting September 2016.
Tim Suprise, Founder and CEO of Arcadia Brewing Company, has always had a passion for finding a niche for the Arcadia brand in the East Coast, having roots himself in upstate New York. Adding distribution in Maryland will enhance the East Coast portfolio which already encompasses New York state and Pennsylvania.
Heading the return to the Maryland is Arcadia’s new President, Jim Lutz, who’s East Coast roots run deep, having held key positions at a variety of East Coast breweries including President/CEO of Wild Goose Brewery in Cambridge, a leading brand in the early days of the Craft Beer scene, VP of Sales at Flying Dog in Maryland, and CEO of Fordham/Dominion. He states “I am looking forward to bringing Arcadia Ales back to Maryland and working with my old friend Matt Crow and the gang at Bond Distributing, continuing my mission of making friends, selling beer and having fun!”
