Santa Fe Brewing Company Releases Oktoberfest for 2016 Season

Santa Fe, New Mexico – Oktoberfest season has triumphantly returned to Santa Fe Brewing Company, with the Southwest’s favorite Fall seasonal, Oktoberfest! We couldn’t be happier for this malt-forward brew to bring in the season which celebrates tradition and beer! With its time-honored mild hop profile and classic malt bill, our Oktoberfest is a tribute to the original Märzens served at Ludwig I’s wedding. Brewmaster Bert Boyce had this to say about this season’s brew, “We're really excited to release this year's Oktoberfest! Drinkable enough for late Summer, yet substantial enough for Fall, this beer strikes the perfect balance of toasty almond and cherry aromas, malty mid-palate, and soft finish. Prost!”

Brewed to style, Santa Fe Brewing Co. utilizes a light pilsen malt in conjunction with a richer Munich Malt to create a clean copper-colored beer with a hint of sweetness in the aroma. The light and toasty first taste, rich and complex full-body center, and smooth, easy finish makes this the perfect stein-filler for a fall festival near you. Hopped with traditional Hallertau and Tettnang hops, this delicious beer may fool even the weis’n-est of critics into believing this to be a direct import from Bavaria. But fear not local beer supporters! This Oktoberfest is, indeed, a local brew from your friendly neighborhood beer fanatics, yet fit for fest-halls far and wide.

This year, you can find Oktoberfest on draft in several new markets including Louisiana, Oklahoma, Texas, Arizona, and Nevada. SFBC Oktoberfest is also to be a featured beer at the Tulsa, Oklahoma Oktoberfest, one of the largest celebrations of its kind outside of Germany! Oktoberfest will be available in kegs and cases in NM, CO, and TX, on August 1st. Look for kegs and cases of the malty Märzen in MO and KS on August 2nd, and OK and LA on August 5th. On August 10th Oktoberfest will be on draft in AZ, and NV, and UT will see our canned product on the shelves by August 15th. Prost, indeed!
