Brew Dog Releases Born To Die 18.08.2016 Today

There’s nothing pre-determined about our individual date with destiny. But whilst we can’t foresee when the curtain will fall for the final time in our own lives, at BrewDog there is one amongst us for whom we very much can. Yes, Born to Die is back. And as our short-lived legend returns, we have decided to use its inescapable fate to aid the chances of those who follow.

Everyone who buys a bottle will have the chance to sign the NHS Organ Donor Register.

You can buy Born to Die 18.08.2016 here.

At BrewDog there are two things that we invest in above everything else – beer, and people. And now with this latest release of Born to Die, we are asking you to do the same. Every bottle sold in our UK BrewDog bars, and our online shop will be accompanied (whilst stocks last) by this new beer mat, giving you the chance to convert the short lifespan of the beer into another chance for somebody else, once that curtain has fallen.

There are no fountains of youth, no time machines exist to whirr back and do it all again. Celebrate the here and now with the most ephemeral beer you can get your hands on. We have brewed Born to Die to be the ultimate reflection of the passing of time; the hopload inside each bottle has been charged to a peak of aroma and flavour – and then passed on to you to discover before the first of those flavours vanish, inexorably, into the ether.

Born to Die is an 8.5% Imperial IPA hopped to the brink and back with Columbus, Amarillo, Simcoe, Mosaic and Citra and brewed to be both savagely bitter and exceptionally dry. A ticking taste bomb, it is even more heavily whirlpool and dry-hopped than the majority of our beers, with these brewhouse procedures having the sole intention of harnessing fragile hop oils. The result is intense notes of citrus peel, pine and cut grass set against a backdrop of alcohol warmth and biscuity malt.

With a predestined date of 18.08.2016, Born to Die will only be on this Earth for thirty-five days - in just over a month’s time, it will be gone. The end comes to us all; beer is very definitely no exception. But we would love its short existence to be used for good, encouraging others to carry Donor Cards alongside their Equity Punk cards, as well as signing up to the NHS Organ Donor Register. As Born to Die gives its life, use it to think of others.

You can get hold of Born To Die 18.08.2016 right here from our online shop and also it will be available in bottles from our UK bars from 6pm tonight, Wednesday 13th July.
