CHICAGO, IL June 8, 2016  This summer, flavor leader mike's hard lemonade has teamed up with renowned chefs across the nation to reinvent America's favorite backyard staple – the classic hot dog – to pair with the incredibly refreshing flavors of mike's hard lemonade.

During the month of June, mike's hard lemonade is kicking off summer season with its Top Dogs of Summer Roadshow, a series of exclusive tasting events held in Chicago, San Francisco and Philadelphia, where the brand and its chef partners are inviting fans to their local restaurants to unveil their limited-edition "mike's" dogs alongside the flavors that served as their inspiration.

"Nothing says 'summertime' more than a hot dog paired with a refreshing lemonade," says Sanjiv Gajiwala, vice president of marketing, Mike's Hard Lemonade Co. "At mike's, we're known for providing the ultimate summer refreshment, but knew we needed culinary experts to give the classic hot dog we know and love a much needed flavor twist – and our chef partners did just that."

These delicious hot dog reinventions – which were specifically created to pair with mike's original, black cherry and watermelon flavors – are the perfect complement to any backyard summer gathering:

  • Jeff Mauro of Chicago: Sonoran-Style mike's Dog – The tart, sweet hints of cherry in mike's hard Black Cherry Lemonade cut through the smoky richness of this funky, Sonoran-style hot dog. The bold and refreshing black cherry flavor extinguishes the pleasant and unexpected spice of the pickled jalapeño.
  • Ryan Scott of San Francisco: Grilled Boudin Blanc "Chicken Sausage" mike's Dog – Classic chicken sausage is transformed into an artisan grilled boudin blanc hot dog when paired with refreshing mike's hard Watermelon Lemonade. The hard watermelon flavor cuts through the smokiness of the chicken sausage, while perfectly complementing the delicious watermelon jalapeño salsa and pickled watermelon rind garnishes.
  • Michael Schulson of Philadelphia: mike's hard lemonade Cheese Dog – In this new, unconventional take on the traditional cheese dog, the natural, tart lemon flavor from the mike's hard lemonade perfectly complements the smooth, mild taste of melted cheddar cheese. Pair with mike's hard lemonade for a burst of flavor that's perfect for a refreshing break between bites.

mike's hard lemonade is kicking off summer with an integrated marketing program that brings the backyard to life through a series of events, a media campaign with placements in outlets like Spotify, Hulu and Entertainment Weekly and digital advertising, including a three-part video series, which debuted over Memorial Day weekend via a Snapchat Live Story takeover, to reach people across the country who are creating the best moments of summer in their backyards. To make bringing mike's to your BBQ even easier, mike's is partnering with alcohol-delivery app Drizly to offer free delivery of mike's hard lemonade with the code MIKESHARD, in available markets.

Additionally, mike's is taking the backyard on the road with the Dierks Bentley and Randy Houser summer concert series. At 10 shows nationwide, fans will be invited to kick back in mike's backyard; and at select shows, fans will be treated to an exclusive live performance and will have the opportunity to hang out with Randy Houser.
