Today we get to see TWO new beers coming from the Avery Brewing Barrel-Aged Series. This is release No 19 and it is named Rufus Corvus Barrel-Aged Sour. This beer is 85% ale aged in Cabernet Sauvignon barrels, 9& Ale aged in Chardonnay barrels and 6% ale aged in Zinfandel barrels (all a minimum of 8 -24 months). Look for Rufus Corvus to be packaged in 12oz bottles (692 cases) and come in at 8.24% ABV. From Avery:
No. 19. An artful and massively acidic blend of two major projects and further enhanced with several orphan barrels from the corners of our barrel aging cellar. All ale involved was barrel aged for a minimum of 8 months and a maximum of 24 months. Pucker up, buttercup!
Next we have release No 20 and it is named Obscuro & Nimbosus Barrel-Aged Sour. This beer is an ale aged in Rum barrels with ginger & key limed added. Look for Obscuro & Nimbosus to be packaged in 12oz bottles (287 cases) and come in at 8.84% ABV.
