Owners of a new craft brewery planning to open in Hayden in September will name several of their beers for friends killed while disarming explosive devices in Afghanistan. 

Mad Bomber Brewing Co. is part-owned by three Army explosive ordnance disposal technicians. Head brewer and co-owner Tom Applegate said it’s important to honor soldiers willing to walk toward something the rest of the world runs away from.
