Montucky Cold Snacks Launches Regional Canned Beer In Billings, MT As Alternative To Craft Beer

image
An interesting angle and a new regional canned beer in Billings, MT from Montucky Cold Snacks.  Details from Montucky:

Montucky Cold Snacks is owned by two native Montanans, Chad Zeitner and Jeremy Gregory, whom had visions of starting a microbrewery as a way of escaping the status quo of the working world. But Chad and Jeremy didn’t want to start a beer company that sold complex craft brews, they wanted to create a light beer that satisfied the light beer-drinker palette, and do so in a way that benefited Montana.

Montucky Cold Snacks Derives it’s name from the slang term for Montana, ‘Montucky,’ it’s roots more than likely come from the slang term for the state of Pennsylvania, ‘Pennsyltucky,’ and was then transfered to the state of Montana somewhere along the line. There is no connection between the name/beer and the state of Pennsylvania or Kentucky. The ‘Cold Snacks’ portion of the name is what a friend of co-founder Jeremy Gregory’s friend called beer.

Montucky Cold Snacks (MCS) is a canned, highly regionalized premium lager, specifically geared towards light beer consumers in Montana. As opposed to the status quo of microbreweries in the state who focus on refinement and sophistication in beer, MCS aims to differentiate itself by focusing on and appealing to customers through crisp cold refreshment, pricing, and the celebration of Montana culture. You will find us at various events around the state, helping people do what they do best: enjoy the Montanan lifestyle. In short, these cute little hummers have been designed to refresh after skiing, fishing, branding, or while watching the big game.
