Former Sweetwater Employees Open Southbound Brewing Co in Savannah, GA

imageDetails from Bizjournals:

Two former workers at Atlanta’s SweetWater Brewing Company will start their own microbrewery - Southbound Brewing Co. - in a 13,000-square-foot facility in Savannah, reports the Savannah Morning News.

Smith Mathews and Carly Wiggins, who were childhood friends and worked at SweetWater while students at Georgia Tech, will take delivery of their custom-built brewing equipment in October and hope to have their first batch ready for distribution — and their brewery open for tours and tastings — in early 2013, the newspaper reports.
