Woodchuck Private Reserve Pumpkin Cider Released !

Very exciting news from our pals Bret Williams & Nate Formalarie @ Woodchuck Hard Cider….Private Reserve Pumpkin Cider has returned and YES it IS coming to Pennsylvania:

Woodchuck® Hard Cider is pleased to announce the return of Private Reserve Pumpkin. The Private Reserve line features groundbreaking limited batch ciders. Private Reserve Pumpkin was the first cider crafted under this label in 2010.

Here are a couple of things you need to know about Private Reserve Pumpkin:

  • This is not a pumpkin spiced cider*. This is a cider born from real pumpkins. When that natural pumpkin character is balanced against a crisp apple backdrop, the resulting cider is truly one of a kind.
  • Regulations in Pennsylvania and Tennessee restrict us from selling the 6.9% ABV Pumpkin Cider in those states. The dedicated fans of Woodchuck in both states have contacted us via phone, email, and Facebook, with each communication essentially saying: We want Pumpkin! Woodchuck is happy to announce our Cider Makers have crafted two separate small batches for 2012. One at 6.9% ABV – and another at 5.5% ABV. Pennsylvania and Tennessee rejoice!
  • Private Reserve Pumpkin is crafted to be served at 45 degrees. It pairs excellently with roasted duck, turkey, or squash ravioli. As a night cap, try with crème brûlée or fresh cheesecake.
  • It is hitting store shelves as you read this. Now in its third year, this cider has a serious following. It sells out quick, and only so much is made.
Private Reserve Pumpkin launched in 2010 as a first of its kind cider. It has become a favorite over the last three years, and for that Woodchuck raises its glass to say thanks and cheers to our passionate fans!

*If you are looking for a more traditional fall spiced cider, be sure to try our Limited Release Fall. It is handcrafted with cinnamon, nutmeg, and a touch of American white oak. A complex and elegant cider, certainly worthy of the season it is named after.
