Sixpoint Lets YOU Choose the Autumnation Hops

imageFrom our pal Shane Welch @ Sixpoint:

Remember Autumnation? Our fall seasonal beer wet-hopped with fresh, Yakima Valley hops to celebrate its annual harvest season? It’s coming back this fall, and although the summer’s not quite begun, we’re planning ahead to capture the taste of this year’s hop harvest in cans. But we thought you might want to participate in that, too.

So we’re introducing a poll now, for everyone to vote for the hop that will be used fresh in the beer’s recipe. You may have encountered some of these hops in our Spice of Life series, or you may have even homebrewed with some of them before. All of them are American hop varietals grown in the Pacific Northwest, which will be fresh and ready to “wet-hop” within hours right after they’re harvested this fall. Here’s a brief rundown of the fresh hops you can choose from for Autumnation 2012, and their tasting notes. Decide which one you’d most like to see wet-hopped, and we’ll order a ton of them to pour into our batch this fall. Voting begins today and ends June 15th so be sure to choose wisely now!
