Terrapin Side Project # 17 Samurai Krunkles Coming 7/15 (Video Too)

Just once I’d like to be in the room and drink whatever Spike Buckowski & the guys are drinking when they come up with the next Side Project label.  Today we have Terrapin Side Project 17 – Samurai Krunkles ale brewed with ginger & green tea….and I quote…”Samurai Krunkles as he was once known in the Far East, pulls out all the hops from his katana’s sheath to make this Asian flared brew….While traveling in the Pacific in a souped up richshaw pulled by his trusty side kick Cato, Krunkles uncovered unique brewing ingredients such as jasmine rise, jasmine green tea & the finest Ginger the orient has to offer for this Samurai Master’s ale.”  It’s a 22oz bottle and 7.1% ABV.

This from Terrapin:

The saga of the legendary hop-hunter Krunkles continues with Samurai Krunkles, Volume 17 in our Side Project series. In this new chapter, Samurai Krunkles takes on the Orient. This Asian-inspired IPA is brewed with fragrant jasmine rice, ginger and jasmine green tea for a bold and unique set of flavors built to balance out the hoppy kick present in all Krunkles brews. Yes, Krunkles is known for his love of hops and this creation will be no exception!

Highlighting the benevolent side of beer, we’ve again teamed up with Shmaltz Brewing Co. in creating Reunion Ale (2012) to support the Institute for Myeloma & Bone Cancer Research. This year’s incarnation takes a smooth brown ale and spices it up with the addition of cocoa nibs/shells from Olive & Sinclair, vanilla, and cinnamon; we think it will remind you of a rich mug of Mexican hot chocolate! Share a bottle of this wonderful collaboration with a loved one and raise a pint for a good cause.

Every four years, we Americans exercise our most patriotic of actions: voting for our President! In celebration of Election Year 2012, we’re bringing back our All-American Imperial Pilsner for a limited term. Longtime Terrapin fans may remember this throwback from our original Monster Beer Tour lineup. This beer represents a classic German style, but with that All-American flair for the more extreme, hence the ‘Imperial’ part of this big beer.
