Lion Brewery – The History

LionBreweryStegmaierLauterTun This photo is incredible and shows the ornate detail of the Stegmaier Brewery Lauter Tun.  In a modern brewery the Lauter Ttun is an industrial functional piece of working equipment.  Back in these days, it was more that than…MUCH more than that.  Thanks Leo.

Without a doubt my favorite pic. Imagine it in color - copper grant and plumbing, brass it!

Sad that a community let that go. I know there were other factors too but it came down to competition.

Hopefully we wont be saying the same thing two decades from now about our craft brewers or the lion, if people switch to beers like michelob porter or pale ale. It happened once, can happen again. Madison avenue has a STRONG effect on people.
