From Grimm:
New York-based brewery Grimm Artisanal Ales is partnering with Oishii to launch the new Ambient Fizz: Koyo Berry, a barrel-aged spontaneous sour ale made using Oishii’s newest varietal, the Koyo Berry, available at the Grimm taproom (990 Metropolitan Ave Brooklyn] starting next Saturday, September 9th.
Fermented and aged in oak barrels exclusively with wild yeast and bacteria from the ambient environment, then refermented on Oishii’s freshly picked Koyo Berries, this easy-drinking spontaneous ale is spritzy and refreshing with complex notes of oak, juicy strawberry, and lemon verbena.
To celebrate the launch, Grimm founders Lauren and Joe Grimm, along with the team at Oishii will host a launch party at the Grimm taproom and rooftop from 12pm noon to 12 am on September 9th. The party will feature Oishii berries for sampling with the purchase of Ambient Fizz: Koyo Berry, as well as custom pint glasses for purchase, and tastings from the Grimms' recently opened rooftop pizzeria, Lala’s Brooklyn Apizza.
