Mybeerbuzz .com Highlights Sanitas Mama Peaches IPA (Review)I’ll admit up front that as much as I may know about Sanitas Brewing, I’ve never had a chance to taste many of their beers.  Sanitas has been part of the Colorado beer scene since 2013 and it’s logo came from the actual Owls that watched over the brewery planning sessions that Michael Memsic and Chris Coyne held before opening.  Named for the nearby Mt. Sanitas, the brewery has become a prominent member of the Boulder, CO craft beer scene.Mybeerbuzz .com Highlights Sanitas Mama Peaches IPA
With that in mind, I was more than happy to get my hands on a new can coming from Sanitas Brewing.  The beer is called Mama Peaches IPA and if you’ve followed any of my reviews, you’ll know that I get excited when the word “peaches” is in the name of the beer…and today is no exception.

Mama Peaches IPA was brewed to celebrate the birth of co-founder Michael Memsic’s first child so it is already a really special brew.  Mama Peaches IPA pours an enticing amber gold color and from the minute you open the can, you’ll be thinking and smelling peaches and aromatic hops.  The aromas lead with soft stone fruit and finish with a nice blend of hoppy notes.  The flavors also whisper “juicy peach” with a really nice balance of grassy hop flavors.  Sanitas uses Rakau, Summit, Amarillo and Centennial hops and these choices really compliment the peach flavors with some additional tropical fruit and citrus flavors.  The beer hits 6%-AbV and a hoppy 35 IBU and I can tell you that I really enjoyed trying this beer out.

Overall, Mama Peaches IPA is a really special beer, and not just because of the reason it was brewed.  The beer is a well-balanced and hoppy IPA that pushes some really pleasant peach and apricot flavors up front, and balances them with a unique blend of grassy and aromatic hops.  Mama Peaches is a seasonal release in 12oz cans so get out there and try this beer while you can…and when you do try it, be sure to let us know what YOU think.image

For fun, I’ve added in the 2021 Prickly Pear Sour 12oz cans (12oz cans, 5%-AbV).
