America’s Oldest Brewery supports Inner Warrior Program to address health and wellness for surviving military families, casualty officers and caregivers
What: D.G. Yuengling & Son, Inc., America’s Oldest Brewery, is proud to donate more than $50,000 to the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS) to support TAPS Inner Warrior Program, a unique strength-based therapeutic program focused on uplifting military survivors through physical fitness and mental well-being.
At 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26, Yuengling’s 6th generation daughters – Jen, Debbie and Sheryl Yuengling – will celebrate the two-year partnership with TAPS with a ceremony at the newly renovated brewery museum and gift shop. The Yuengling’s will deliver remarks on behalf of their family, and will be joined by Yuengling employees and veterans to mark the occasion. Members of TAPS will be present to speak to the impact of the Inner Warrior Program and receive the donation. Yuengling awarded TAPS the donation through its Lagers for Heroes program, which enables the brewery to support nonprofits and advance programs that positively impact veterans and their families.

The Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS) is the leading national nonprofit organization providing compassionate care and survivor support services for the families of America’s fallen military heroes. Since 1994, TAPS has offered support to more than 85,000 survivors of fallen military in the form of peer-based emotional support, grief and trauma resources, grief seminars and retreats for adults, Good Grief Camps for children, casework assistance, connections to community-based care, online and in-person support groups and a 24/7 resource and information helpline for all who have been affected by a death in the Armed Forces.
