Aug. 1, 2013/mbb/ - ST. LOUIS -- St. Louis, MO –   The Taste of St. Louis announced today that Budweiser will serve as the presenting sponsor of the ninth-annual event taking place September 27-29.  The 2013
Budweiser Taste of St. Louis, which will be held at Soldiers’ Memorial, will feature all of the same great elements St. Louisans have come to expect along with a few new “beer-centric” concepts that showcase Anheuser-Busch’s wide range of beers and what’s hot on the culinary scene today.

“The Taste of St. Louis has been voted one of the ‘Best Food Festivals’ by AAA Midwest Traveler,” said Mike Kociela, Taste organizer and president of Entertainment St. Louis. “But this year, we are raising the bar again by adding a unique and educational tasting experience that features the world’s best beers, thanks to our 2013 Title Sponsor, Budweiser. Because of partners and St. Louis neighbors like Budweiser, we can continue to provide a quality event that is free and accessible to the public.”

Beers of the World – A Tasting Experience
The Budweiser Taste of St. Louis will feature a major new element called, “Beers of the World – A Tasting Experience.” Inspired by the lager’s deep St. Louis roots and global reach of Anheuser-Busch,  this unique event will offer a wide range of ales and lagers, in taste-sized portions, as well as a culinary demonstration stage featuring daily showcases from Anheuser-Busch Chef Ambassadors, Brewmasters and food industry professionals..  The entire experience will be located adjacent to the Concert Main Stage where local and national acts perform each night.

In addition to the all-new “Beers of the World,” the 2013 Budweiser Taste of St. Louis will bring back crowd favorites including free national act concerts, more than 45 restaurants on Sauce Magazine’s Restaurant Row, the Stella Artois Chef Battle Royale, the Art Walk, the Marketplace, and much more.

“The Taste of St. Louis is one of the best festivals in the Midwest and a terrific tradition right here in our hometown,” said George Reisch, Anheuser-Busch brewmaster. “We’re proud to celebrate our St. Louis heritage by being a part of this signature event and adding the Beers of the World experience to an already-exciting lineup of food, music and art.”
