A few interesting new beers that I’ll be you’ve never seen yet….
High & Mighty Brewing Pas De Dieux…this is a 22oz bottle package for this 4.5% ABV “old-school” saison. “Back in the odl days, before refrigeration, & before water was potable on its own, saison was brewed in the spring for summertime consumption by thirsty farmhands. It would, therefore have been refreshing & drinkable, & hoppy, so that it would keep through harvesting season. (It would also have been sour, though this recreation of the style is not. Maybe we’ll try that next time.” Look for a late July 2011 release.
Heineken…Tarwbok is a new 6.5% ABV (12oz bottle) traditional “Dutch” wheat bock, and Dutch Dark (keg only) appears to be a dark lager but
Heineken Tarwebok is not new to the US- it was previously imported starting in the mid-1990's right around the time Heineken bought Van Munching.
