Dogfish Head Brewing–Black & Red Ale

post1Why am I never surprised when Sam and the guys at DFH release yet another interesting and unique brew.  This one appears to be keg-only (probably event driven like many of these), and it’s called Black & Red Ale—Ale Brewed with Raspberry and 50% Having Mint Added.  I’m trying to piece all of these flavors together in my head and as much as I’m not a real mint fan, it does sound like something I’d want to try anyway….and I think that’s what Sam does best.  On an unrelated note…..Dogfish Head IS looking to hire a new Brewer if anyone is interested.

    Tried this one over the weekend. It tasted like dessert- almost like a beer version of a peppermint patty. Lots of mint in this one, so if that doesn't do it for you then this isn't the one to try. I liked it enough to bring a growler home, but I can't see it being popular enough to be widely released.
