Maui Brewing - Imperial Coconut Porter Coming To 750ml Bottles

12 September 2016

Here’s a new big bottle coming from Maui Brewing.  This is Imperial Coconut Porter and it is brewed with hand-toasted coconut before being packaged in 750ml bottles.  This “more intense” version of Coconut Hiwa Porter will hit 9.4%-AbV, and stay tuned here for release details.

UPDATE 15 Dec 2016  from Maui:

A deeper, more intense version of MBC’s flagship Coconut Hiwa Porter, Imperial Coconut Porter is brewed with hand toasted coconut, and subtle hints of cacao and coffee. The rich, slightly sweet and malty ale utilizes seven different malts, including black and chocolate, as well as raw and toasted coconut. It pours with a dark tan head and drinks with a silky smooth, yet warming finish.

While Imperial Coconut Porter has been available to restaurants and bars carrying Maui Brewing Company products, this is a new opportunity for consumers to purchase the 750ml bottles for personal consumption – perfect for gift-giving this time of year. Imperial Coconut Porter, with its 9.0% ABV and 32 IBUs, will be available only in the Hawaii market and at both Maui Brewing Company locations in Kihei and Lahaina, beginning today (15 Dec 2016).
